Winter is Coming! So, we are holding a free event on the 13th October 2022 at Riverside, The Quay, Newport. PO30 2QR  … from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

In the wake of the Energy crises, Islehelp partners and other agencies are getting together to offer help and guidance on; benefits, debt, energy and water efficiency and generally saving of money.

Energy Saving Guidance

We offer impartial information on saving energy and water in the home on the Isle of Wight.

Most households we assist cut their bills by around £200 to £300 per year.

Our trained staff can chat to you over the phone, or by email. When safe to do so they can visit you in your home.

We help people and the planet. Our aim is to assist people to live using our resources wisely and to keep people warm and well.

We enable people to discover and enjoy our local environment on the Isle of Wight. The Island is often described as England in miniature, and as such it has pockets of deprivation alongside stunning natural beauty and it is against this backdrop that The Footprint Trust carries out its work. Every year we assist hundreds of households to cut their CO2 emissions.

The Footprint Trust charity is a recipient of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the MBE for the voluntary sector.

The Award was given by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for the innovative work carried out by the charity in helping both people and the local environment, since our foundation in 2002.

The Award was received on behalf of the Trustees of the charity by our General Manager  Ray Harrington-Vail, in 2003 from the Lord Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight.

Carole Walker, the charity’s chairman at the time said;

“The Trust is honoured and delighted at this award. It will assist in promoting our work and help us to gain more help for the Isle of Wight. We are very grateful to Her Majesty for this Award and for the encouragement and support we have received from the Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff.”

The staff, volunteers and trustees of The Footprint Trust recognise that it was under Carole’s guidance and support so much was achieved, in her memory  we continue to serve our local community.
