Supporting good causes

Some large national charities have been criticised for paying professional fundraisers, using aggressive tactics, selling supporters data and paying executives ridiculously high salaries.

These negative stories given the whole sector a bad name, which in turn has cut donations and support. This is unfair, as the majority of charitable bodies have not been behaving unethically.

Small charities struggle to get their messages across, as they can’t afford TV and radio advertising etc and are generally not chosen by large companies for sponsorship and support.

Please consider supporting a  local good cause with a regular, or one off, donation. If you have found this guide useful please consider giving the Isle of Wight Footprint Trust charity a donation via this link…Many thanks…!/DonationDetails
